About Grass Lake School

Grass Lake School is located in Antioch, Illinois and is a member of the Antioch Chamber of Commerce.  Antioch is nestled in the picturesque Chain O' Lakes region in Northern Illinois and located in Lake County.

The Grass Lake School District resides in the southwest of Antioch.  Our school has approximately 220 students. Our staff consists of 40 members.  Their e-mail addresses and voice mail extensions can be found on our Contact page.

Grass Lake School originated in the late Nineteenth Century in a single-room schoolhouse.  In 1947, the main facility was constructed (with major additions in the 1970's and recently in 2000).  The original schoolhouse is still in operation and houses our Kindergarten program.  The school bell from the schoolhouse belfry hangs in the foyer of the main facility.
